Become a Gyo-Taku artist!
Learn a unique 19th century Japanese printmaking technique. The process is easy and fun with spectacular results.
Gyo-Taku literally means and is fish-rubbing. After the fish is covered with paint, the image is transferred to cloth by rubbing and pressing. Express yourself with a variety of colors and develop your own style to make a print or wall hanging.
St. Augustine’s original Gyo-Taku Artist, Hugh Holborn will demonstrate this art form and then assist you. The fish, paint, print paper and cloth will be provided.
